How to Make Your Own Personalize Flappy Bird Background

So, you've noticed lots of Flappy Bird versions on Google Play, in fact most of those apps are just edited elements on the original Flappy Bird. The method in changing the background is just one step on editing such game. Making your own personalize Flappy Bird game is pretty easy and doesn't require programming skills, the software that we are going to use are the usual software we use everyday on our computer and Android devices.

Requirements:

• Rooted Android phone
• Installed FlappyBird
• Root explorer (recommended) or ES explorer
• Photoshop (any version)
• WinRAR For Windows

Procedure in editing:
1. Open your root explorer or the ES file explorer
2. Go to the directory data/app
3. Look for "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk" without quotes. (Sometimes "com.dotgears.flappybird-2.apk")

4. Copy the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk" to your SD Card or directly to PC (Any folder).

5. It is recommended to create a folder like "Edit Flappy Bird BG". This folder will be used to save all edited Flappy Bird files.

6. Rename "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk" to "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar" see pictures below for reference.

7. Double click the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar" to open the content.

8. Then go to "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar\assets\gfx" inside the rar file, then extract the atlas.png on Desktop for easy retrieval.

9. Close the RAR file, and then run Photoshop. Here you will edit the atlas.png (the previously extracted file on RAR). From here you can edit the image as much as you like, and don't forget to save it as atlas.png again.

10. Open the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar" again, and browse "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar\assets\gfx", here you will copy paste the edited atlas.png file, just click yes when prompted, and press OK to save the rar file.

11. Rename the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.rar" to "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk", now if you remember the directory data/app in your phone we will copy the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk" there. It is recommended to copy the "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk" to SDcard first.

12. Open root explorer/ES explorer, and browse the directory data/app and paste the modded "com.dotgears.flappybird-1.apk".

13. Run Flappy Bird and enjoy your own personalize Flappy Bird background. Enjoy!
